The management aptitude test is conducted by All India Management Association. The test judges the ability of the students who are fascinated to take the management courses. The MAT is conducted four times in a year. It allows the students to join post graduate in the administrative field. The MAT score helps the student to get admission in Business schools.

MAT 2016 exam details

It is a national level test which conducted from the year 1988. Students can apply for the exam either online or offline. The payment for the exam is Rs. 1200. To pay through offline, it can be done by demand draft and to pay through online the credit card can be used. The paper based exam is conducted on 7th February, 2016  from 10.00 am to 12.30 am. The computer based exam is conducted on 13th  February, 2016 and time slots are different.

 The exam pattern is that the duration is about two and half hours. The question pattern contains five sections such as Mathematical skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Indian and Global Environment, Data Analysis and Sufficiency. The score is given only for 4 important sections except Indian and Global environment.

The difficulty of the exam is from easy to moderate. The MAT exam total mark is about 800. The Business school does not consider the marks of general knowledge and Global environment section. The cutoff marks for the student to score is about 500 and it should be above 50 percent. Both the paper and computer based exam contains objective type questions. These are the paper format of MAT exam.

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a entrance examination with an objective type test with multiple choice answers in the question paper.  One major advantage of MAT 2016 is this exam will be conducted 4 times in a year.  So, if you loss in the first test, within few months you will able to write the same exam with more preparation.

This will offer a good way to score more.  The question paper of MAT 2016 is generally designed to measure the general ability, alertness and awareness of a person.  The MAT exam pattern consists of two mode of examinations such as paper based test and computer based test. But on both these modes, the questions will be provided with multiple choice anwsers.

The MAT test pattern may include the factors such as number of questions, time duration , negative marks, marks allotted for each question.  The paper pattern of MAT 2016 provides the total number of questions as 200 and the time duration is 150 minutes.  The mark allocation is for each correct attempt you will be awarded with a 1 mark, for incorrect attempt the negative marking will be done.

The question paper pattern contains various sections such as language comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Indian and Global Environment and Intelligence and Critical Reasoning. Each section will carry a total number of 40 questions. The time allotted for each section will vary.

The time allotted for the language comprehension is 30 minutes, 40 minutes for mathematical skills, 35 minutes for Data Analysis and sufficiency, 30 minutes for intelligence and reasoning and 15 minutes for Indian and Global Environment.
